Indian Hills is currently accepting and encouraging nominations of local entrepreneurs for the third annual Vision Awards.
The purpose of the event is to recognize and honor the innovation and vision of the unsung heroes in our community; those who make an impact on our economy.
"I don't think we've always emphasized how important it is for existing businesses that may be small in nature or new business start-ups, how really important they are to the economy of Southeast Iowa," said Tom Rubel, Executive Dean of Regional Economic Advancement. "So our efforts are to recognize those people and award them with an evening and a speaker and just a good time to say thank you for all of their efforts."
There are five categories open for nominations: Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Student Entrepreneur of the Year, Entrepreneurial Educator of the Year and Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year. Nominees must live within Indian Hills' 10-county area to be eligible, with the exception of the alumni award.
Nominations are due by March 31 and the Vision Awards will be held Thursday, April 24.
