The 15th annual International Festival will be held this Saturday, April 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Quincy Place Mall.
Every year, the festival offers food, drinks and entertainment, all with the purpose of giving the community a taste of other cultures.
"We're trying to get people accustomed to each other, learn a little bit about how you eat, what you do and what you think," said Ed Ball, Chairman of the International Festival Committee. "So [it's a] day of activities for anyone who wants to come."
Ball said that this year's festival will feature entertainment like dancers and singers, as well as activities for the kids like games and an international fashion show.
The best part about the day is that it's absolutely free for anyone who wants to attend.
Last year, 17 different countries and cultures were represented at the event and there is still time to participate with a table of food at this year's festival. If you're interested in participating, contact Ed Ball at 684-6623 or Molly Jones at 680-0909.
