Investigation completed into Kirksville Post Office
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. —
The investigation into missing stamp stock at the Kirksville Post Office has been completed, a spokesman told KTVO Wednesday.
Jeff Arney, a spokesman for the Office of the Inspector General, said the agency is completing its report and will send it to post office administration in the coming days.
“Investigators did not find that there was any criminal wrongdoing,” Arney said.
The investigation began after it was discovered that stamp stock was missing from the Kirksville Post Office. That can refer to either physical stamp inventory or money that has been paid for sold stamps.
Kirksville Postmaster Greg Stiner remains on administrative leave, and his fate will be decided after the report is reviewed.
