Investigators still working homicide case of Eldon man

A week after an Eldon man was found murdered, there have been no arrests in the case.

Last Monday, the owner of the Main Street Bait Shop in Eldon, 64-year-old Darrell Teeter, was found dead.

We wanted to know if an arrest was imminent, so we called the sheriff's office.

Wapello County Chief Deputy Don Philips declined to offer any additional information other than to say that investigators were still working the case.

So far the only insight into the murder came last week from Teeter's mother, Ardath.

She told KTVO that her son's store had been the victim of several robberies.

She said after the last robbery, prescription drugs and cash had come up missing.
