Fri, 16 May 2014 12:55:01 GMT — Iowa officials have selected 14 businesses to participate in an annual pollution prevention program. The state Department of Natural Resources says upper-level college students will research and implement pollution solutions at the companies. The students will aim to increase efficiency, reduce costs and help meet environmental goals. The students will work at the companies as part of 12- or 24-week paid internships. More than 160 Iowa companies, hospitals, universities and government agencies have participated in the program since 2001.
