Over 30 projects from Iowa's young artists are now on display at the Ottumwa Public Library.
If you visit the library, you can see some amazing artwork from students in grades K-12 of Iowa's first, second and third place winners. 18-year-old Kathryn Weets won best in show. The artwork will be on display until January 29th.
â??We just to be able to share with the state and with state and with the patrons in the Ottumwa community this group of kids that have worked hard on their piece of art and their entries and also it's a program that benefits the conservation communities across the country and through the department interior and the fish and a wildlife service, so we want to do our part to promote that as well," said Sonja Ferrell of the Ottumwa Public Library.
Ferrell says entries for the 2014 contest will be accepted through March 15th, and you can mail entries to the Neal Smith National Refuge, P.O. Box 399, 9981 Pacific Street, Praire City, Iowa 50228, or go submit them online here.
