A northwest Iowa man is in custody facing sex related charges in Adair County, Mo. James Cathey, 42, of Cherokee, Iowa, is charged with four counts of attempted sexual misconduct involving a child less than 15 years old. He is currently being held in Cherokee County, Iowa awaiting extradition proceedings to be returned to Missouri. According to court papers, a member of the Kirksville Police Internet Crimes Taskforce was online undercover as a 14-year-old female. He was then invited several times to view Cathey's webcam.
