Iowa ranks sixth in the nation regarding small business friendliness
The results are in.
The grades for the annual nationwide study regarding small business friendliness have now been released.
Thumbtack dot-com partnered with the Kauffman Foundation to conduct the survey.
More than twelve thousand small businesses were included in the study.
Iowa earned an A grade which finished them at sixth in the nation...a jump of ten spots from last year.
Ottumwa business owners felt that Iowaâ??s grade was well deserved.
â??There was always somebody on the phone that would go through and say exactly what I needed to do and you go to their website and walk through that so, I mean, it was a fairly easy process,â?? said Elizabeth Pilcher, The Lucky Rooster Coffee House Owner.
While Iowa seems to excel on the listâ?¦Missouri could use a little improvement.
The state was awarded a C for its friendliness to small businesses.
