The Iowa State Patrol is investigating a car accident that took place Saturday involving an Ottumwa Police car.
Around 2 p.m., a squad car apparently hit the back of a red Cadillac. It happened on Quincy Ave. in front of the HyVee Gas Station. The Cadillac in front of the police car also had significant damage on its front bumper, but it wasn't evident what that vehicle had hit.
The Ottumwa Police sergeant on duty confirms officers were responding to a priority call when the incident happened.
She says the investigation being conducted by the Iowa State Patrol is ongoing.
