Items valued over $25,000 discovered at the home of suspect's girlfriend
A Macon County man is facing criminal charges after a search warrant is served at his girlfriendâ??s residence.
Jason Hopper of Callao, Mo. is charged with burglary, stealing more than $25,000, stealing a motor vehicle and possession of a vehicle with an altered or removed vin. Hopper is being held in the Macon County jail under $20,000 cash only bond.
According to Sheriff Kevin Shoemaker, his office received information about where items that had been stolen from Comptonâ??s in Macon, could be located.
At the residence, deputies found numerous items including ATVs, tools, electronics, sporting goods and more, totaling more than $25,000.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending.
