A popular Kirksville arts event is back for the 39th year in a row.
The Red Barn Arts and Crafts Festival takes place this Saturday on the square in downtown Kirksville.
The festival is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Kirksville Arts Association.
This year's event will include a record number of 113 exhibitors selling different types of arts and crafts, from jewelry and pottery to wood carvings.
"There will be lots of food on the north side of the square. Around the square, different activities going on. You'll be able to see all your neighbors and people cruising the square and walking around several times and visit with people. It's a fun festival and it's a magnificent way to start the fall season," said Red Barn Chair Janie Theobald.
There will also be live music and entertainment for the whole family, including the popular kids art corner.
The festival runs from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The square will be closed to traffic and parking during the festival.
