Jamison Street Community Garden helps local food banks

The Jamison Street Community Garden has under gone some changes and improvements for the 2014 season. Most noticeable is the centralized watering station.ã??The garden space is divided into 12 individual plots and two raised beds plus a section for the Green Thumb Project and the remaining area is dedicated for the community garden which is used to provide fresh produce to the local food banks and the Head Start kitchen.ã??Terry Hiatt, Special Projects Manager, oversees the Community Garden and harvests the garden with assistance from local volunteers. Hiatt stopped by the set of Good Morning Heartland to tell us more about their gardening efforts. WATCH VIDEO ABOVE to learn more.
