The Jefferson County Supervisors met on Monday morning for their regular meeting.
One of the main focuses was prioritizing the budget for 2014, which has to be certified on March 17th.
Also on the agenda, the supervisors discussed the appointment of a new chair person for the board's safety committee after the resignation of the previous public safety-chair Chris Estle-Tedrow. Supervisor Dick Reed says they decided on new Supervisor Becky Schmitz to take that role to make sure the county is focused on OSHA standards.
??It makes us step back and be proactive and make sure that we have all of our safety policies and procedures in place, so we're always thinking about safety when we send our people out to work but so we're gonna review all our safety policies, we're gonna make sure that we're up to date on all the OSHA rules and regulations.??
The supervisors also discussed a 15-year grain-bin TIF project.
