Job assistance available in the Heartland
Jobs are opening up in the Heartland.
A local branch of Kelly Services held interviews at Steveâ??s Garden Deli in Kirksville on Saturday, August 2nd for open positions at Kraft Foods.
Kelly Services is a staffing agency that provides assistance to those looking to become employed or to those looking for a new job.
The application and interview process was available to anyone interested in a job or internship experience.
This particular event was held outside the usual location to provide a more relaxing environment for applicants.
â??One of the purposes was to allow people that are working now that might not be able to get off work to come in,â?? said Kelly Services Recruiter, Valerie Johnson. â??We also wanted to showcase downtown Kirksville.â??
The positive feedback and successful job placement is what drives this service to continue.
â??We hope to have a positive effect and we hope to give people jobs and to service the community and build jobs for the area,â?? said Kraft Foods Staff Manager, Larry Ellsworth. â??Thatâ??s our long term goal.â??
