Members of Kirksville Regional Economic Development Incorporated's Executive Committee met Wednesday to discuss plans and goals for the upcoming year.
K-REDI members spent the meeting talking about different goals and objectives for 2014 and ways to improve over last year.
Another big talking point at the meeting was the annual K-REDI Luncheon and Business Meeting.
That meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. February 4th at the Kirksville Country Club. The meeting is open to anyone who is interested in bettering their business.
Guest speaker Chris Chung of the Missouri Partnership will also be on hand to talk about the importance of economic development in smaller communities.
"He's going to be able to educate us all a little more about why it's important to continue to work on economic development efforts in our region," said Annette Sweet, a member of K-REDI.
The next regular K-REDI meeting is set for 4 p.m. January 22 at the Economic Development Alliance Building in Kirksville.
