The Macon County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) met in Macon Monday evening.
One of the major things discussed at the meeting was a training session on drug labs taking place this Saturday at the Macon Fire Department.
With changes over the past few years on how drugs like meth are made and where they're made, the group thought this would be a good opportunity to do a training session on it and how to be prepared.
"There will be a lot of information for medical personnel, law enforcement personnel and fire personnel on how to handle to come to a house or a car that may have drugs. Something like that," said Jeff Stacy of the Macon County LEPC.
This weekend's training session is open to all emergency first responders in Macon County and surrounding counties as well.
The group will meeting this Saturday at 8 a.m. at the Macon Fire Station. Meals will be provided.
