Keosauqua's Fly In wraps up another successful year

On Saturday, friends and family gathered for Keosauqua's annual Fly In event at the Municipal Airport.

This was 17th year for the event.

Attendees were treated to pancakes and sausages provided by the Keosauqua Lions.

There were also a variety of planes and remote control flyers for guests to look at.

Executive Director for Tourism for Villages of Van Buren Stacey Reese says there's always something new and exciting to look forward to at the Fly In.

"I love the variety of airplanes coming in. Last year we had a helicopter. They fly in from all over and the kids just absolutely love to watch the planes come in and take off."

New to this year's fly in was the solar sport utility vehicle, built by students at Iowa State University.
