Kids of all ages had a howling good time at the "Trunk of Treats" Halloween event at the Crossing Church in Kirksville Thursday night.
The annual event is usually held in the parking lot, but because of the cold and wet weather, this year it was moved inside the church.
Hundreds of dressed-up kids and their parents waited in a long line before making their way through a trail that looped through the large church.
There were 60 to 70 stations along the trail where the kids could get candy.
In all, the church had 2,000 pounds of candy to give away. That's right, one ton of sugar.
The Crossing also had drawings for gift cards.
