Kids have the chance to show off their animals at the NEMO Fair

Animal shows at the NEMO Fair in Kirksville began Tuesday.

It was showtime Tuesday at the NEMO Fair in Kirksville and some farm animals got to show the judges their stuff.

Throughout this week, 4-H and FFA students from across northeast Missouri will be participating in animal shows at the fair. They will be showing their farm animals to be judged and have the chance to win awards.

On Tuesday, kids had the chance to show sheep, lambs and chickens.

While we were there, some kids were grooming, feeding and walking their sheep and lambs to warm them up for the shows.

Other kids we're checking in other animals, such as cattle and hogs, to settle them in their areas for other shows this week.

The rabbit and beef shows will take place Wednesday, while the swine show is taking place on Thursday. The goat show will take place on Friday.
