Some Heartland kids had a chance to show their artistic side just in time for the holidays.

The Adair County Public Library held its 10th annual Children's Holiday Craft Party Saturday afternoon.

Kids from ages 2-12 made a variety of gifts for family members from travel pillows to scarfs, ornaments and key chains.

About 75 kids came out to express themselves and have a great time.

"We've had some artistic kids here that have done fantastic crafts. I think it's very important for kids to do things that they can give with a touch of their own. It's more a gift from the heart that way," said Diane Burger of the Adair County Public Library.

The White Tails Unlimited Group provided all the craft materials.

There was even a wrapping station for kids to wrap their gifts to give out on Christmas Day.
