The Kirksville community came together to enjoy some sweet teats for Valentine's Day, and raise money for a good cause.
The Kirksville Child Development Center held the second annual 'Sweet Escape' fundraiser. The night allowed the supporters to enjoy a night of live entertainment from Truman State music students, win door prizes, and enjoy some sweet treats. All proceeds raised at tonight's fundraiser will benefit the Child Development Center.
"This preschool, it's a small but mighty preschool. We are a not for profit organization and we are a parent co-op, and all the money raised tonight goes right back into the school for supplies and things for the kids," said Heather Darrah, fundraising chair.
The Kirksville Child Development Center plans to host the fundraiser again next year, due to the success in past years.
