Kirksville City Council filing now underway
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. —
A few familiar faces are running for a seat on Kirksville City Council.
Council filing opened on Tuesday.
Those who wish to run can file in the city clerk's office at Kirksville City Hall during normal business hours.
Filing will end on Tuesday, January 16.
Kirksville City Council terms are for a total of three years.
One council seat is up for grabs this election cycle.
Right now, three people have filed.
According to city documents, Phillip Biston, Glen Moritz and Kevin Alm are hoping to win the seat.
Biston is currently serving as mayor of Kirksville and is a council member. His term is up this April.
Moritz was a member of Kirksville City Council in 2013 and also served as mayor in 2014.
Alm has also filed to run for council numerous times in the past.
The municipal election for Kirksville City Council will be April 3, 2018.
