New in Kirksville this weekend, is the Kiwanis Easter Parade.
The community is encouraged to dress in their Easter finest and walk in the parade. The parade will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Line-up for the parade will begin at 2 p.m. on Franklin Street between Missouri and Illinois Streets. The parade will then travel around the square. Anyone is welcome to participate in the parade. Entry fees consist of a nonperishable food item. All contributions will go to the Kirksville Salvation Army Food Depot.
"Get dressed up in your finest, come on out and join us. The weather is going to be beautiful and hopefully we can do a nice job of contributing to the Salvation Army Food Bank," said Felix Adler, of the Kirksville Kiwanis Club.
Just a reminder, the parade will begin at 3 p.m. tomorrow. The Kiwanis Club is hoping the parade is a success and is already looking into plans for the next year.
