Kirksville FFA students hold pancake breakfast

Some high school students served a breakfast to the community to say thank you.

Members of the Future Farmers of America held a pancake breakfast Tuesday morning at the Kirksville Area Technical Center. Pancakes, biscuits, eggs and bacon were served free of charge.

"What we're doing is giving a free breakfast to our community as a thank you for them supporting us throughout the year, giving us donations, or buying fruit and stuff, so this is just a big thank you," said Holly Hatfield, a Kirksville FFA member.

Those who attended the breakfast were also able to see different projects the students have been working on, including hatching chickens.

The Kirksville Future Farmers of America attend numerous conferences a year, which help the students develop success through agricultural education.
