If you're interested in the 'science of homebrewing' a new club in Kirksville may spark your interest.
The Kirksville Guild of Brewers or KGB is a homebrew club for brewers in Northeast Missouri. KGB was created to promote the science of homebrewing and to provide an opportunity for improvement for advanced brewers. The KGB will be hosting a launch and tasting party on the evening of May 3rd at the DuKum Inn. There, you will be able to taste homebrews and sign up for membership.
"We brew some different beers, taste some different beers, and we are just excited about you know making craft brewery, craft beers in Missouri," said Jason Shaw, Kirksville Guild of Brewers Chairman.
Once again, if you are interested in becoming a member of the Kirksville Guild of Brewers, you can attend a meet and greet on Saturday May 3rd. That event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the DuKum Inn. Membership to the guild is open to brewers, tasters, and friends of the KGB (businesses that would like to show support for the club). Dues are $25 and include a t-shirt. If interested in joining, click here to visit the club's website or send them an email.
