Despite the cold, many came out to enjoy a parade late Saturday afternoon.
The Kirksville Kiwanis Club held its second annual Kirksville Kiwanis' Christmas Parade.
This year's theme was ??Warm hands, Warm hearts" and the parade made its way down Franklin St. in downtown Kirksville.
A number of groups walked the parade route from Missouri St. to Jefferson St., including KTVO.
Reporter Destiny McKiever spoke with a few of this year's attendees and they're saying the best part of the parade is indeed the candy!
Destiny: "Are you expecting candy or are you wanting to wave at people???
August: ??I want candy. Have fun, like get candy and stuff.
There was no entry fee for the parade. Instead, the club asked parade participants to bring new children's mittens, gloves, hats, coats and scarves to donate to children in the community
