Kirksville man arrested on drug charges in Macon County
Tuesday April 1st around 12:10 a.m., Macon County Sheriffâ??s Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in La Plata, Mo. near a construction area where construction equipment was being stored overnight.
Deputies responded to the area and located the suspicious vehicle. During their investigation, the Deputies identified the occupant of the vehicle as Levi N. Sullivan, 25, of Kirksville, Mo.
While Deputies were in contact with Sullivan, they detected the presence of marijuana coming from the open window of his vehicle. Deputies arrested Sullivan for suspected possession of marijuana, and upon further investigation the Deputies allegedly found Sullivan to be unlawfully in possession of Xanax and drug paraphernalia.
Sullivan was arrested for unlawful possession of prescription medication, possession of marijuana under 35 grams, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He was then transported to the Macon County Jail without incident where he posted a $10,000 bond and was released.
The Macon County Deputies were assisted by the La Plata Police Department.
