Kirksville Police seek 'Fugitive of the Week'

UPDATE: Previous Fugitive of the Week Michael Sharp (Eslinger) was apprehended by Kirksville Police on January 15 and is no longer being sought by police.

Detectives attempted to make contact with Michael Sharp on foot near Centennial and Mill Street to affect his arrest. Sharp fled on foot and entered into an unoccupied structure in the 1000 block of North Main. Officers entered the structure and were able to take Sharp into custody without further incident.


Kirksville Police are attempting to locate Michael A. Sharp, 31, in reference to arrest warrants from Missouri Probation and Parole for violation of probation/parole, and Adair County for assault and failure to appear.

Sharp is a white, male, 6â??2â?? tall, 175 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Sharp also goes by the name Michael Eslinger.

Officers have attempted to make contact with Sharp at his last known residence but have been unable to locate him. Sharp had family and other ties to the Kirksville area but it is unknown if he is still in the area.

Sharp has both ears pierced, and tattoos including a tribal design on his back, the word "Northeast" with lightning bolts on his chest, a web on his left arm, "Bricen" on his left hand, a nurse on his on left forearm, a sleeve on his right arm, â??Karsonâ?? on his right hand, and a sun on his upper left arm.
