Kirksville and Truman State University were well represented at the Show-Me-State's capital Tuesday. It was the annual "Kirksville Day at the Capitol."

Representatives of A.T. Still University, K-REDI and the Kirksville Chamber of Commerce, along with public city officials, took this great opportunity to showcase Kirksville to legislators.

Truman State University also sent students to the capitol to give them a learning experience and have the opportunity to interact with their public officials.

"We want to make sure everybody knows about Kirksville and Truman State University. We are a little close to the Iowa border so sometimes when you are not centrally located, you are not on everybody's radar screen so we want to remind them about the great things happening in Kirksville and Truman State University," said Heidi Templeton of Truman State University

Templeton also says this was the city's and university's way of saying thank you to legislators both local and statewide for all their support.

The university, city officials and groups are already planning to be back once again in the capitol next year.
