The Kirksville R-III Board of Education held their regular meeting Wednesday night.
After discussing the district's web page enhancements and social media traffic, the board discussed some of its major items on the agenda, including the John T. Belcher scholarship. The board moved to select annual Belcher scholarship representatives before discussing the purchase of new band uniforms.
Finally, the superintendent reviewed a technology assessment report, which focused on things to improve in regards to classroom technology.
Superintendent Patrick Williams says the district needs to remain organized with technology purchases, ensuring that the new devices purchased will be useful for years to come.
â??We need to begin talking about what kind of tablets we are going to purchase. We also need to be sensitive to what our system can support, what is compatible with our system, as well as what our I.T. staff can support. They really stress that schools, us included, need to be very organized in how we make decisions and purchases,â?? said Williams.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12th.
