Kirksville residents gathered early this morning for the Red, White and Blue parade in downtown Kirksville. The parade began at 9 a.m. and started with a police and fire department escort. Veterans were next in line and this time with a young boy who walked proudly beside them.
Children stood on the corners and sidewalks waiting with their bags to pick up candy. The Kirksville El Kadar Shrine Club kept everyone entertained riding in go karts. A few floats had children on them singing and dancing. The Kirksville Roller Derby Club skated through the streets.
It seemed like everyone had a good time at the Red, White and Blue parade.
