Kirksville Salvation Army now takes credit cards

For the past week now, the Kirksville Salvation Army Thrift Store is accepting major credit cards for purchases such as Visa, Discover, and Master Card.

In this day and age when people are carrying around more credit cards then cash, the organization wanted to start doing this in order to continue having great store sales.

"When people see that they can use their credit card, it means instead of buying those pair of jeans they can also buy that vase, dishes, pots, and pans. They will put it on the card instead of having only $5 for the pair of jeans," said Lt. Brian Bump of The Salvation Army.

For every $1 spent at the thrift store, all of that money goes right back to the Kirksville community.

The Salvation Army will always take any type of clothing, old, or ragged out sent to the store.
