Teachers from the Kirksville R-III School District voiced some of their concerns at a forum with the school board Wednesday night.
The Kirksville Community Teacher's Association had representatives present from each of the schools. Forums like this are held twice a year.
Issues ranging from staffing and salaries to technology and facilities were among the topics discussed at this semesterâ??s forum.
One of the main concerns at all of the schools was creating safer traffic flow during arrival and dismissal.
â??It gives us an opportunity to sit down in an informal fashion with the teachers and the teacher representatives and begin to understand some of the current issues and issues that may have arisen during the school year, and to also consider some of the priorities,â?? said Kirksville R-III Superintendent Patrick Williams.
Now those concerns and suggestions will be taken into consideration as the board begins setting policy priorities for the next school year.
The board also discussed some much needed technology upgrades and an extension of the transportation contract at Wednesday's meeting.
