A stop at a Kirksville apartment by police has ended with a teen in custody on drug charges.
Colton Smith, 19, of Kirksville, is charged with three counts of felony possession. He is accused of having meth, a Fentanyl patch and diazepam pills.
According to court papers, when the door was opened, police saw a keg sitting just inside the front door. When officers asked ages, none of those present were of legal age to possess alcohol. After police received a search warrant, they discovered one bedroom door padlocked shut. When police entered, they found drug related items.
Colton Smith is being held in the Adair County jail under $25,000 cash only bond.
