Kirksville to see influx of 5,000 visitors during Truman move-in
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. —
In just a few days, hundreds of new students will descend upon Kirksville.
Freshmen and transfer students attending Truman State University are scheduled to move-in on Wednesday.
A press release states more than 1,400 of those students will be joining the community.
It's estimated that Kirksville will see an influx of up to 5,000 visitors during the move-in period.
The University says residents living in the area near residence halls should expect delays when traveling.
Impacted streets include: Normal, Davis, Patterson and Florence.
Upperclassmen are scheduled to move-in on Saturday, August 19.
Classes at Truman State University will then start the following Monday.
