Kirksville’s Founders Day Frontier Celebration planned for weekend

Award winners at the "Kirksville: Town and Country" Exhibition Reception (KTVO)

The Kirksville Founder’s Day Frontier Celebration kicked off on Friday with the "Kirksville: Town and Country" exhibition reception.

The reception was put on by the Kirksville Arts Association and featured work by the organization MOSI.

Attendees could meet the artists while looking the creations.

The Founder’s Day events continue on Saturday.

You can bring the family to the children's scavenger hunt at the Adair County Historical Society from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Check out the vendor fair from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the 100 block of West McPherson Street.

Then it's a night of entertainment after that, however tickets needed to be purchased in advance for those events.

Sunday at 2 p.m. is the Forest-Llewellyn Cemetery gravestone unveiling.
