Knoxville school district suspends employee

The Knoxville school district in south-central Iowa has suspended an employee as police investigate a sex abuse allegation involving a student.

District superintendent Randy Flack would not elaborate on why the employee was put on leave or identify the person.

Knoxville Police Chief Daniel Losada would not identify the suspect. A police report filed Tuesday says some of the incidents took place at the school and others at a home in Carlisle. Some information on the report matches some information about the school employee.

No charges have been filed.
