This is a full time exempt administrative position, requiring an individual with a four year degree in Journalism or related field, or related experience. The individual in this position coordinates news reporters in news gathering activities, creating news files and making news assignments as appropriate. Write and help coordinate news content on heartlandconnection.com and KTVOâ??s social media platforms. This position works closely with news staff and the Interactive Managing Editor.
This person must be analytical and well organized, able to assemble news stores with minimal direction and have a broad understanding of government and social issues.
Applicant must possess strong writing and organizational skills along with sharp editorial judgment. Be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate across multiple digital platforms.
