KTVO premieres brand new HD Set
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. —
For the first time in history, KTVO is now broadcasting all newscasts in high definition.
The new set is just a small piece of the HD conversion. Years of work from teams of people all across the country have been happening behind the scenes.
KTVO has been using a temporary set for the past few weeks while the new set was built.
Four new robotic cameras, color-changing panels, a green screen, a new control room and new graphics are all a part of the HD conversion, which cost $1.5 million.
The Ottumwa bureau set was also upgraded, and KTVO News at 6:30 is broadcasting in HD too.
