Itâ??s time to lace up your running shoes.
Preparations for this yearâ??s Dash for disAbilities race is underway.
The community is invited to participate in the run, which will be held in the evening on Thursday June 19th.
Last year was so successful that event organizer, Christy Baughman returns to volunteer another year.
â??My daughter has autism, sheâ??s six years old and I think disability awareness is really important and this community really comes together really well to bring about awareness,â?? said Baughman.
The race starts at 6:30 at the School of Health Management (next to ATSUâ??s Thompson Campus Center).
Registration and packet pick up begins at 5:30pm.
The top three male and female finishers of both the 5K Race and the 2.5K Walk/Race will receive a medal.
A kidâ??s race will be held for ages 3-10 and will begin at 6pm.
Registration can be completed at the ATSU School of Health Management.
