Large marijuana grow operation lands one in jail
A Fairfield man has been arrested and charged for running a large marijuana growing operation.
On Wednesday, Fairfield Police served a warrant on Campbell John Hair, 63.
During the search of Hair's residence on Hempstead Avenue, officers seized over one hundred marijuana plants and a large amount of other evidence.
Hair is facing several felony drug counts, including Manufacturing Marijuana within 1,000 feet of a School, a Class D Felony, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance - (Marijuana), a Class D Felony, Drug Tax Stamp Violation, a Class D Felony, Keeping a Dwelling for the Purpose of Keeping, Possessing, Selling, or Using a Controlled Substances, an aggravated misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple Misdemeanor.
The investigation is on-going and Hair could face additional charges at the conclusion of the investigation.
Hair is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail.
