Bridgett Grooms is notorious for waiting until the last minute to get her Christmas shopping done, but this year she has a good excuse.
"I've been re-doing our flooring, so I've been putting a lot of energy into that, so that's where my energy is going I guess, instead of Christmas shopping,â?? Grooms said.
She says she bought most of her supplies needed for the project at Menards, but now she's back to finish buying gifts since December 25th is right around the corner.
â??Iâ??m just out doing some last minute Christmas shopping, and I love their Christmas section here,â?? she said. â??I can always find some cute little boxes for like teachers and stuff, so that's what brought me here today.â??
The manager of Menards on Venture Drive in Ottumwa says employees have been keeping busy with the holiday rush.
â??We went through a lot of electronics the day after Thanksgiving, that kind of stuff, a lot of toys. Tools are always a big thing at Menards,â?? Doug Yeoman, manager said.
He says if you haven't finished your Christmas shopping yet, you're in luck.
"We're open on Christmas Eve until 5 p.m. normally we're open until 9 p.m., but on Christmas Eve, we're open until 5,â?? Yeoman said.
