Late morning crash injures four in Macon
Macon, Mo. —
A late Sunday morning crash has left four injured.
The incident happened at 11:30 a.m., at U.S. Highway 36 and Kellogg Avenue in Macon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Sharon Leenerts, 75, of Bevier, failed to yield.
As a result, a vehicle driven by Tanesha Hawkins, 38, of Chicago, was struck.
Leenerts was transported to Samaritan Hospital in Macon in moderate condition.
Her passenger, Gerald Leenerts, 82, also of Bevier, is recovering from serious injuries at University Hospital in Columbia.
Hawkins received moderate injuries in the crash and was transported to Samaritan Hospital.
Her passenger, Tabitha French, 39, of Zion, Illinois, is listed in serious condition at University Hospital.
