Lewis County plane crash kills two

Lewis County Sheriff David Parrish has now identified the victims in Wednesday night's crash near LaGrange. Killed were John Johnson, 74, of Carbondale Illinois and
Carl Maiden, 47, of DuQuoin Illinois. The sheriff says the two were on their way to an antique air show in Iowa and had left from an airport near Carbondale.
Lewis County Sheriff David Parrish confirmed for KTVOâ??s sister station, KHQA, that two people were killed in a plane crash Wednesday night near LaGrange, Missouri.
The first call came in to the Lewis County 911 office at 8:20 p.m.
The names of the victims are not being released pending notification of family.
Parrish did tell KHQAâ??s Rajah Maples that the two victims are from "out of state."
The crash site is off of old Highway 61 near Lagrange.
More specifically, the plane went down off of Sunflower Road between LaGrange and Canton in rural Lewis County.
