A local school administrator has been honored with a lifetime award.
Pat Williams, Superintendent of the Kirksville School District, was recently honored by the Missouri Association of School Administrators.
Williams was given an Honorary Life Membership by the Association. He was presented with the award at the Missouri Association of School Administrators Spring Conference in Mid-March.
The award honors school administrators who plan to retire at the end of the current school year. Williams announced his retirement in early November. He has spent 31 years working with the district and for 8 of those years, Williams has served as superintendent.
"So it's an honor to be of course recognized at this point in your career, and it is certainly a fine organization that represents superintendents throughout the state of Missouri," said Pat Williams, Kirksville Schools Superintendent.
Williams will begin his retirement once the current school year concludes. Dr. Damon Kizzire will replace Williams beginning July 1.
