Local child molestation suspect calls 911 to report himself
LANCASTER, Mo. —
Law enforcement officers say a northeast Missouri child molestation suspect called 911 to report his crime.
Twenty-eight-year-old Darren Logsdon of Lancaster is charged with one count of Third-Degree Child Molestation stemming from an incident he says happened at the residence where he lived at the time.
According to court documents, at 1 a.m. on January 20, 2018, a Schuyler County dispatcher got a call from Logsdon, who wanted to turn himself in for "pedophilia."
Court papers state that the 13-year-old victim told a Schuyler County deputy that Logsdon had touched her breasts and rubbed her hand on his privates while she slept.
The girl said Logsdon also massaged her back under her shirt and touched her back side.
The defendant told investigators that he did not have skin-to-skin contact with the girl.
Logsdon is being held on $25,000 cash-only bond in the Schuyler County Jail.
Next up in the case, a preliminary hearing and bond reduction hearing are set for February 28, 2018.
