Local children graduate radKIDS training
A group of local kids became self-defense certified Friday night.
radKIDS is a national safety education and personal empowerment program for children ages 5 to 12. The local chapter of radKIDS is hosted at the Northeast Regional Health and Fitness Center. Classes for children ages five to seven began February 25th. Friday night the children received completion certificates after their final SIM class. We spoke with a parent who says he is satisfied with the program and pleased with his children's progress.
â??The most important thing is it probably empowers them if something doesn't feel right to get away and go tell somebody. It's good that they've got a hands on training for kids and they give kids a real feel for it and get them to practice the skills that they've taught them,â?? said Adam Dorrell.
The next set of radKIDS classes will be offered to kids ages 8 to 12. Those classes will begin on April 1st. To register your child for the courses, click here and select the community tab. radKIDS can be found on the right of the community page.
