Losing a loved one is hard, but a support group in one local community is making dealing with grief easier.
The United Methodist Church in Milan offers a grief support group once a month. That group will meet Wednesday February 26th, at 6p.m. at Gordos Family Restaurant in Milan. The church offers the group to help people who have recently suffered the loss of a loved one. The meeting allows those who are grieving to come together and discuss ways to overcome the loss and also be supportive of each other during a tough time. Those who are facing an impending loss can also attend the support group meetings to get comfort.
"There's just so much going on and this is a place we can provide an opportunity to discuss, to share wisdom, to commiserate together and even share a bite of food while we do it," said Pastor Andrew Coon of the Milan United Methodist Church.
Once again, the next grief support group will be held Wednesday February 26th at Gordos Family Restaurant in Milan at 6 o'clock p.m. For more information on how to get involved with the group, contact the United Methodist Church in Milan at (660)-265-3307.
