This week is Children's Mental Health Awareness Week, and Mark Twain Behavioral Health in Kirksville and several other organizations have put together an awareness event for kids in the community to celebrate the week and to educate children. Thursday kids gathered at Pickler's Famous in Kirksville to watch the "Bully Project."
â??This movie is definitely a dramatic movie, a very heart breaking movie, but it definitely raises awareness about mental health issues among youth and how to access help when needed,â?? said Mark Twain Behavioral Health Clinical Director Angela Caraway.
The "Bully Project" is a documentary that follows several kids who are being bullied at school and how they handle that.
