Some local pilots revved up their engines for a good cause Saturday morning, as the Northeast Missouri Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association held a 'Fly-in' breakfast.
For a small price the public was invited to an all you can eat pancake breakfast at the Macon Fower Airport, followed by free flights for kids.
Congressman Sam Graves was also on hand to show off his skills in the cock pit.
The ultimate goal is to get kids excited about aviation from an early age.
"Well with the way general aviation has taken a hit since 9/11, aviation has kind of fallen off a lot and we're trying to get the young people interested again,?? said Wayne Noyes, President of the Northeast Missouri EAA Chapter 1212.
According to Noyes, they usually have about 400 people stop by during this annual event.
All proceeds from the morning's breakfast benefit Young Eagles who hope to attend the EAA Academy in Oshkosh, Wis. next year.
